Asela plays a vital role in ensuring seamless and elevated experiences for both our owners and guests. Originally from Moloka‘i and now a proud Maui resident for over 13 years, she brings more than a decade of experience in the hospitality industry, supported by a strong foundation in both operations and leadership.
Outside of work, Asela enjoys baking, exploring Maui’s diverse restaurant scene, and discovering unique finds while thrift shopping.

Jonathan Gedge
Jonathan plays a key role in ensuring our units are maintained to the highest standards, supporting both our owners and guests through quality, consistency, and attention to detail. Born and raised on the east side of O‘ahu, Jonathan brings a strong background in property management and operations, along with a passion for the challenges and growth within the field.
Outside of work, he enjoys the beauty of island life, finding balance in nature, whether in the ocean or the mountains. He values connecting with others and learning from their experiences, which he brings into his leadership each day.

Bobby, originally from Buffalo, New York, fell in love with Maui in 2019 and now serves as Enterprise Marketing Director for HEI and The Whaler.
When he’s not focused on marketing, you can find him on the golf course, exploring new destinations, finding the next great meal, or cheering on the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres.

Jamie Hoover
Jamie originally from California, frequently visited Maui, always knowing it would one day be home. Three years ago, she made that dream a reality and started her career at The Whaler, working first at the Front Desk and then transitioning to The Pool Hale.
In her free time, Jamie enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, outrigger canoeing, and spending time at the beach with family and friends. She’s excited to take on this new opportunity with HEI and The Whaler, while continuing her work at The Pool Hale.
